He spoke plainly and eloquently. Both realistic and idealistic, he was a breath of fresh air.
Asked about Russia he said:
“We are highly dependent on Russian gas so we cannot implement sanctions, but even above that the Student List upholds the principle that sanctions are bad, they only backfire and they hurt the people, not the governments and politicians and those who are corrupt.
We are for ending wars and conflict.
Asked if there is a parallel with France he said: “The human mind likes to draw parallels but I urge you not to. What we have done in Serbia is a first.
We worked so hard, went to so many villages, getting beating up so many times.
We have no leader (and so are not open to corruption). Free people do not need to be led, those who look for a shepherd will be treated like sheep.”
Further comment from Andrew Korybko:
The West didn’t radicalize Serbia’s Russian-friendly patriots against Vucic; he’s the one who did so through his and his media surrogates’ toxic gaslighting over his pro-Western foreign policy concessions across the past decade, especially last year’s disclosures by Russia that Serbia is arming Ukraine.
It was earlier observed that “Vucic Was Democratically Deposed, Not The Victim Of A Color Revolution, And It’s His Own Fault”. Attention was drawn to his two cardinal sins of toxic gaslighting, namely his and his media surrogates’ deliberate misportrayal of his pro-Western foreign policy concessions as a “5D chess master plan to psyche out the West” and them viciously canceling Russian-friendly patriots who disagreed, and refusing to groom a successor despite a decade in power. They alone led to his downfall.
